This is a high-precision digital displacement sensor.

The High Precision Linear Displacement Sensor has a built-in RS-232 /RS-485 output and can be connected directly to a PC to record the readings. If your PC has USB ports only, a standard USB-to-RS-232/RS485 adapter will work without any issue.

A DRO is needed only if you would also like a standalone digital display. For PC data logging alone, connecting the sensor directly via RS-232/RS485 is the most cost-effective solution.
